Naples Cruise Port
- Cruise excursions and walking tours usually depart directly from the Naples port of Molo Beverello.
- There is no train service from Naples directly to the Amalfi Coast; you must take the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento and transfer to a local bus there. Note that there is limited space on these crowded public buses, so passengers often have to stand for the duration of the 30- to 45-minute trip.
- The commuter Circumvesuviana train runs from the lower level of Naples’ Centrale train station to Pompeii (Pompei stop), Herculaneum (Ercolano stop), and Sorrento, but can be crowded in summer with limited seating.
- Public ferries depart from Molo Beverello and Calata di Massa ports (a shuttle runs between them) for Capri and Sorrento year-round, and for Ischia and Procida in summer. To avoid long ticket lines, consider booking a private boat tour.

- Consider a day trip to Naples from the Amalfi Coast or Sorrento if you would rather stay somewhere quieter than the center of this bustling capital city.
- The catacombs are completely accessible to visitors with limited mobility.
- San Gennaro is a Catholic church, so modest attire and appropriate decorum are required to enter.

Museum Rietberg
Museum Rietberg exhibits works from Africa, Asia and ancient America. It is the only non-European art gallery in Switzerland. Originating from the private collection of Baron Eduard von der Heydt, the museum was extended in 2007 to nearly double its exhibition space.
It is situated across several villas in a lovely, leafy park. Villa Wesendonck is a neo-renaissance mansion where composer Richard Wagner once stayed. It houses the main collection of the Rietberg, wooden, bronze and ceramic objects from Africa, India, China, Japan and south-east Asia. Park-Villa Rieter focuses on Asian art with prints and paintings from India, China and Japan.

- The route is well lit, though there is a short stretch during which visitors walk by candlelight. For this reason, children under 3 years old are not allowed.

Mykonos Windmills (Kato Mili)

Mykonos Cruise Port
How to Get to Mykonos
Now with two ports, one of which is the relatively new, but smaller marina, all sorts of cruise liners, yachts and other boats swarm the island of Mykonos, making it a common ferry destination from places like Rafina or Piraeua, where you can catch a ride daily. Mykonos also has an international airport only a few miles away from the town itself, offering flights from a number of major European destinations.
One Day in Mykonos
Though there may not be much to do along the port itself, you are less than five minutes away from the village of Mykonos, where you can find plenty to do, day or night. During the day, there are a handful of sandy beaches, either in Mykonos town, or nearby Platys Gialos or Paranga. Also check out the famous 16th-century windmills or its famous folklore or archaeological museums, both unforgettable treasures of the island.
Port Information
Mykonos is capable of hosting some very large cruise ships that can also hold vehicles or higher-speed catamarans, and finding such ships is quite easy. On the ferry side, Mykonos works on a four-season schedule, each have different connections and routes depending on the company, so be on the lookout a few weeks prior to each season.
